First Snow

Dec 6: December arrived and so did the colder air and snow! Marc was very excited to wake up in the morning to a couple of inches of snow and get to put his new snow boots and snow pants to good use! He was a big help, cleaning off the cars and the steps on the deck. For Sadie, it was her "first snow," although somewhat predictably, she was less enamoured by it all. Still, a fun introduction to winter and we're looking forward to more fun times playing in the snow!

No Sadie, No!

Sadie is getting around pretty well these days and Marc isn't too thrilled, since it means that she's getting into his stuff - here's a bunch of pictures - what they all have in common, is that while the picture was being taken, Marc could be heard yelling, "No, Sadie, No!"

Sadie Yum Yum

December 3: Sadie has discovered the wonderful world of "real food!" She started a few weeks ago with puffs and has quickly graduated to Cheerios, pizza and pancakes! She's also been known to steal a grilled cheese sandwich from one of the "older" kids at school and has a sippy cup holding technique that rivals the most adept college chug-a-lugger!

Only a JCC-educated kid would....

See a statue of Jesus, arms wide open in front of a church and say, "Mommy - it's the Statue of Liberty!"

OR

Check out white Christmas lights on a tree and says, "look at the lights - just like in the sukkah!"

Perspective

Nov 29: Marc's really into superheros, with the "good guys" and the "bad guys" - Here's his interpretation of what a bad guy looks like!

Thanksgiving 2009

Nov 26: Another great Thanksgiving in Marblehead at Auntie Dale and Uncle Bob's house! It was so much fun to share Turkey Day with Grammy, Grampy, Baba and Papa Chico, Uncle Andy and Auntie, Stephie, Uncle Matty and cousin Michael and Soho the dog and we were so thankful that everyone was healthy and able to be there! It was also Sadie's first Thanksgiving and she was in prime condition, showing off her new crawling skills. Marc was an old pro and especially fond of the chopped liver and challah hours d'oevres and made a valiant effort to get more friendly with Soho! Everyone had a great time and we're already looking forward to next year!

And, since it was a long weekend, we also had lots of fun catching up with a bunch of our friends who were visiting from out of town! On Sunday, we had the Brickmans and the Jaghers over to play - Marc had a great time playing with Elijah, Zachary and Ryan and Sadie held her own with the three big boys! It was a high energy crowd, with lots of running around, basketball, cars and dress up!

Marc and Reuben

Nov 21: The kids in Marc's class this year area all really great and he loves playing with everyone. Recently though, he seems to have one best bud - Reuben. Every day after school, same routine, B:What did you do today? M: I played. B: With who? M: Reuben! (oh - and Spencer..) Lately, we've started getting requests for playdates with Reuben to the point of near meltdowns at the thought of going one more day without a Reuben-Marc playdate! So, this weekend, we got Marc, Reuben, both their little sisters and parents together for a fun afternoon in Brookline, playing in Reuben's park (Noa L. joined!) and then head back to Reuben's for some more playing and dinner! Everyone had fun and it was great to finally get the two goofballs together!
